Would You Ever Wear A White Dress As A Wedding Guest?

A UK woman has sparked outrage after asking if it was okay to wear a white dress to a wedding.

A UK woman has sparked a fierce debate after suggesting online that she wanted to wear a white dress to a friend’s wedding. That’s almost as bad as wearing embalming fluid to a funeral. Let the deceased reap the rewards of that youthful angelic glow.

The woman wrote on ‘’…

“I’ve just purchased this dress for an upcoming charity event that I have to attend but I am hoping it will double up for an upcoming wedding due to the cost…”

The woman goes on to clarify that she’ll only be attending the evening reception, and will be pairing it with black shoes and a black bag. We can only assume the black accessories are to further accentuate the white.

Some users online responded with “Absolutely not. It’s lovely, but not for a wedding. Just don’t be that person.”

While another added, “I think it’s too close to cream/ivory to wear to a wedding and I’d have been annoyed if you wore it to mine.”

“… It’s the wrong colour. It would actually make a really nice wedding dress for a casual do, but which is why you can’t wear it.”

The woman tried to justify her white dress by saying, “I don’t think the bride will mind, but I’m more concerned about other guests’ opinions.”

There are no currently no updates on her decision. But we’re really hoping she didn’t opt to wear a veil.
