This Is The World’s Biggest Avocado

All other avocados pale in comparison.

Imagine, if you will, an avocado. Do you have it there in your mind?

How big is it? The size of a closed fist? A pretty regular normal avocado size.

Well, what if I told you that there was an avocado out there that is bigger than the one you are currently picturing in your mind?

What if I told you that there was an avocado out there that was the heaviest avocado in the world? What would you do with that information?

The heaviest avocado in the world has been grown by a family in Hawaii who were obviously sick of all the pathetic little avocados that the world has so far been producing.

This one weighs in at 2.5 kilograms -- which doesn’t sound that heavy to be honest -- but you can be assured that for an avocado, it’s massive.

The avocado was actually grown way back in December of 2018. It has taken the Guinness Book of World Records all this time to approve that, yes, the giant avocado is in fact the heaviest avocado ever.

The avocado was brought into this world by Mark, Julian and Loihi Pokini who live in Kahului in Hawaii -- and who knows what other fruits the Pokini family could make bigger than usual if they put their minds to it.

If you want to get out there and see -- or get your hands --  on the big avocado, we have some bad news.

Juliane told Maui News the family “cut it open and made a whole bunch of guacamole, sharing with family and friends".

"It fed a lot of people," she said.
