How Much Toilet Paper Do You Use?
Debate is raging online after one mum claimed to use 9 rolls a week in her household
I must admit, how many toilet paper rolls I go through a week is not something I’ve ever thought about.
It really depends on the week I’m having to be honest.
If I’m having a stressful week, I’d be using less because I’m uptight, if I’m having a relaxed week then I’m using more rolls than that dog on the Kleenex ad.
On average my household would go through 3 rolls a week.
Is that too many, or not enough?
How many do you use?
This very article I’m writing has come about because an Aussie mum wrote this on Mumsnet, “Three adults in my house, two male, one female. I buy a pack of nine a week and we are using 90% of it honestly, I think someone is eating it! What do you use? Is this excessive?”
Look, I’m not here to judge, but HOW THE HELL ARE YOU USING 9 ROLLS A WEEK!
One of the male adults in that house is definitely dressing up as a mummy for some reason on a weekly basis.
Fellow Mumsnet users didn’t muck around when letting this mum know that something suss is going on, and that someone is that household “is almost certainly eating it”.
And although that family clearly need to be taught how to use toilet paper correctly, that mother’s post did start up a healthy discussion.
Some suggested a better-quality toilet paper is the way to go, as you use less.
Some suggested installing a bidet or hose in order to get the job done.
You could even try what an old school friend of mine used to do, every time he did a number 2, he’d have a shower after, he’s in jail now.
Whatever your method is, I think we can agree that we can all make an effort to use less toilet paper.
I’m off to the toilet now.
FYI, I’m having a relaxed week.
