'Free Face Masks': Bar Using Deadly Coronavirus That Has Killed Hundreds To Promote The ‘Sickest Night Of The Year’

A West Australian bar is using the deadly coronavirus to promote ‘Corona Saturday – The Sickest Night Of The Year’.

On Friday, Fitzgerald’s Irish Bar took to Facebook to promote their event.

“There's been a LOT of talk about Corona and to be honest it's made us pretty thirsty,” the bar in Bunbury, southwest of Perth wrote.

“We've heard Corona is pretty sick, so sick that we're giving out FREE face masks at the door to prevent any contamination from it.”

The bar also uploaded a flyer which features a picture of a corona bottle with a face mask around it.

The post has attracted a lot of attention online, with one user commenting “this is too far,” but many people seem to be amused by the post, tagging their friends and posting laughing emojis.

Aussies Are Searching 'Corona Beer Virus' On Google

The deadly coronavirus is confusing Australians, Google search data has shown.

On Thursday, a New Zealand bar was forced to pull a similar promotion after beverage company Lion, which distribute Corona in New Zealand stepped in and asked for the ad to be taken down.

House on Hood, in Hamilton, wrote: 'Virus or no virus, we still think Coronas are pretty great, so while the pandemic lasts, we're selling Coronas for just $6.50, all day, every day.”

“Mention your corona loving mates to let them know about this great deal and you could be sharing a free one-metre pizza this Friday at House.”

10 daily has contacted Fitzgerald’s Irish Bar for comment.
