Residents Told 'You Are In Danger' As Bushfires Ravage Perth's North
An out-of-control bushfire remains a threat to homes on Perth's northern fringe, with schools closed in the area and residents told to take shelter at two evacuation centres.
An emergency warning is in place for Two Rocks, Breakwater and Seatree Estates, as well as the northern parts of Yanchep.
A 'watch and act' alert is in place for other parts of Yanchep and Eglinton.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services warned on Friday that burning embers were likely to be blown towards homes.
"You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes," DFES said.
The blaze is moving in a south-westerly direction and is unpredictable.
The Department for Communities has set up two temporary evacuation centres at Gumblossom Community Centre in Quinns Rocks and Granville Civic Centre in Gingin.
