WATCH: Daring Mid-Air Rescue After Paraglider Stuck In Tree For Four Hours

Incredible body camera footage shows a daring rescue after a paraglider's adventure in Alabama ended abruptly when he became stuck in a tree more than 20 metres above the ground.

A rescue team from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Aviation Unit was called out to help the paraglider.

Officials say the man, who has not been identified, was stuck in the tree, about 21 metres above ground, for four hours.

A helicopter was flown out to the stranded man, where a rescue worker was lowered by cable to pluck the paraglider from the tangle of tree limbs.

Officials said the paraglider was relieved after the rescue and was "high fiving, fist bumping and hugging everybody".
