Aussie Flights Cancelled As Fiji Braces For Tropical Cyclone
Dozens of flights in and out of Fiji have been cancelled as the island nation braces for a tropical cyclone.
Cancelled flights include Virgin Australia and Fiji Airways flights to and from Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, as authorities anticipate the effects of Tropical Cyclone Sarai.
At this stage, Jetstar flights have not been affected, but customers can stay up to date here.
Dozens of flights to and from New Zealand have also been cancelled, as well as internal flights within Fiji.
Tropical Cyclone Sarai is expected be about 110km west of Viwa, or about 170km west-northwest of Nadi, by 7pm Friday.
The Fiji Meteorological Service said people in Fiji can "expect damaging gale force winds today and very rough to high seas."
