WAG War: Coleen Rooney Sets Instagram Trap To Catch Information Leak

Things just got real.

Coleen Rooney, wife of football hero Wayne Rooney, has publicly called out fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy's account for allegedly leaking private information to British tabloid The Sun.

Rebekah is the wife of England's Jamie Vardy, Leicester City's hero in their miracle Premier League title in 2015/16.

In an astonishing Twitter post, Coleen accused Rebekah (or someone using her account) of taking information shared to her private social media accounts and providing it to The Sun.

"There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family -- all without my permission or knowledge," Coleen said.

Coleen said she decided to post fake stories, and slowly blocked those able to view them, in order prove her suspicion of a leak.

"Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into The Sun newspaper," she said.

"And you know what, they did!"

Coleen listed recent stories that have appeared in the press, such as a gender selection in Mexico, returning to TV, and her basement flooding as fake stories she had made-up to catch the alleged leak.

She said she had screenshotted the original stories on her social media that show just one account had viewed them.

"Now I know for certain which account / individual it's come from," Coleen said.

And then came the four most dramatic words in WAG history.

"It's ..........Rebekah Vardy's account."

Coleen made no insinuation that it was Rebekah behind the leaks, leaving the possibility open that it was someone using her account.

Rebekah denied having anything to do with the leaking of information, claiming "various people" have had access to her social media accounts.

"If you thought this was happening you could have told me & I could have changed my passwords to see if it stopped," she said.

"Over the years various people have had access to my insta (sic) & just this week I found I was following people I didn't know and have never followed myself."

Heavily-pregnant Rebekah said she was "disgusted" she had deny these allegations and is "so upset" about Coleen's post.

"As I have just said to you (Coleen) on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this," she said.

"I never speak to anyone about you (Coleen) as various journalists who have asked me over the years can vouch for."

Rebekah said she is now seeking legal advice.
