Facebook Employee Dies At Its Headquarters, Company Co-Operating With Police
A Facebook employee has died at one of the company's offices in California.
Emergency services were called to an office building in Menlo Park, California at about 11.30am on Thursday.
A male was found unresponsive at the scene, but he was unable to be revived, Menlo Park Police said.
"Firefighters and paramedics administered medical aid but were unable to revive the victim," it said in a statement.
"The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene."
Facebook confirmed the man was an employee at the company in a statement on Thursday.
"We were saddened to learn that one of our employees passed away at our Menlo Park headquarters earlier today," it said.
The social media giant said it would co-operate with police during the investigation into the man's death.
"We’re co-operating with police in their investigation and providing support to employees," it said
"While the family is being notified, we have no information to share.”
Police believe there is no foul play involved.
