Gabrielle Walsh was on her way home from a nightclub just off Bloom Street in Manchester, England on the weekend when she was allegedly approached by three men.
She said was with a male friend at around 3.30am on Sunday morning when she was approached.
"We were going to go home, I'd taken my shoes off and this guy came over and said, 'I like your feet',” the 18-year-old told Manchester Evening News.
Walsh ignored the men and continued to walk down the street with her friend, but the group allegedly didn't leave them alone.
"Eventually, I turned around and said, 'I'm sorry, I'm not interested',” Walsh said.
She said in response to one of the three men in the group allegedly punched Walsh in the face, knocking her to the ground and rendering her unconscious.
When she regained consciousness, Walsh said she saw her friend being attacked by the three men as she watched on, helpless. The group of men then allegedly fled the scene.
Walsh and her friend were helped by a group of bystanders before they called an ambulance. They were told the wait for paramedics was about two hours, so the pair took a taxi to the nearest hospital.
Walsh is now receiving treatment for her injuries, which include a split eyelid and extensive bruising.
Police are now searching for the men who could have been involved in the attack.
Walsh's friend Aimee Duffy posted photos of her friend's horrific injuries on Facebook. She appealed to the public for information to help police find the men allegedly responsible for the attack.
"My friend is now currently in the eye hospital waiting to get stitches in her eye as he’s opened the muscle on her eye," Duffy wrote.
"Please can everyone share this and if anyone was there or knows any more information on the appearance of the guy it would be massive help as she deserves justice."
