Two Injured After Toronto Raptors Celebration Attack

Fans celebrating the victory of the Toronto Raptors have fled after shots were fired into the crowd of more than 200,000.

Police alerted the public of a shooting at Nathan Phillips Square in the centre of the Candian city as the celebration were underway.

Attendants have spoken of a 'pop, pop' sound and thousands of people running for their lives in the resulting pandemonium.

At least one woman and one other person have been confirmed injured by police at this stage.

Police said on Monday afternoon local time they had arrested two people and seized two firearms.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unknown. Police are yet to address the public about the incident and their investigations continue.
