Hair-raising footage has emerged of 20 daredevils who braved an 800-metre long slackline in the French Alps.

The gravity-defying course sits at an altitude of 300 metres, and was set up using a drone with a fishing line between two cliffs overlooking the Cote d'Azur.

A 19-year-old physics student Mattis Reisner finished the course in the fastest time, at 19 minutes and 50 seconds.
