True Love Is Dead: Woman Breaks Up With Ghost Pirate Husband
An Irish woman has split with her 300-year-old ghost pirate husband just months after tying the knot.
Amanda Teague, 46, made the heartbreaking decision this week.
"So I feel it's time to let everyone know that my marriage is over," Teague said, in a Facebook post reported by The Irish Mirror.
"I will explain all in due course but for now all I want to say is be VERY careful when dabbling in spirituality, it's not something to mess with..."
Teague and her ghost pirate 'soulmate' got married in a private ceremony on a boat in international waters off the Irish coast earlier this year.
To make the union official, a medium was hired so Jack could say his "I do"s. Instead of slipping a ring on his finger, Teague placed the ring on a candle, which symbolised her new husband.
Teague said their love story began back in 2014 when the ghost, who had been left at the altar before being executed for thieving on the high seas in the 1700s, visited her while she was lying in bed.

After months of interaction, Teague claims she began to grow strong feelings him.
“This was about six months of communication so I finally accepted it, obviously we had spent a lot of time together,” she told PEOPLE.
“I was horrified to discover I had romantic feelings for him, having never heard of that before.”
“It was almost like falling for someone forbidden — like a friend’s husband,” she continued.
“I tried to ignore it but it didn’t go away.”
But after months of marriage, it seems the forbidden love has lost its appeal.
She's not explained why the two broke up, and we have no idea how Jack took the news. We can only assume he will continue to roam, in search of rum or treasure or a parrot or something pirate-y.
