Authorities in South Carolina have caught up with an Aussie on the loose, spotted on a major road in McCormick County after being on the run for several hours.
The kangaroo, which ran away from a South Carolina farm on Tuesday, evaded the McCormick County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit before eventually being recaptured by its owners, according to U.S. media.
"I thought dispatch was joking," an officer at the sheriff's office said after uploading a picture of the marsupial on social media.
While it's understood Skippy did not cause any injuries while on the run, authorities in South Carolina had warned the public not to approach the marsupial.
In South Carolina residents are allowed to own a kangaroo, provided they hold the proper documentation.
