Keanu Reeves Will Star In 'Breathtaking' Upcoming Game 'Cyberpunk 2077'
The legend that is Keanu Reeves has stunned fans and gamers, revealing he will star in the upcoming Cyberpunk instalment.
The man himself received a rockstar welcome as he stormed the stage at Microsoft's E3 conference in L.A. overnight, announcing he is about to dominate the cyber world.
Reeves kept his appearance brief, labelling Cyberpunk 2077 "breathtaking" as he explained that it will be set in the future where body modification is the norm.
"You play as an outlaw, an enhanced mercenary working in the sleazy underbelly of the city," he told the audience.
"The feeling there, of walking the streets of the future, is really going to be breathtaking."
"You're breathtaking!" one excited fan shouted from the crowd.
He didn't explain exactly what his rocker character Johnny Silverhand was all about, but judging by the trailer, his long hair, intense stare and velvet voice will make up a fair chunk of the appearance.
The game has been in the works for at least six years and is being made by CD Projekt Red, known for the super popular Witcher series.
It's an open-world shooting game based on the 80s Cyberpunk boardgame and its 90s sequel, Cyberpunk 2020, and isn't for the faint-hearted, with nudity, drugs and murder all part of the playing experience.
Fans can't get enough.
Many have taken to social media to reveal their excitement.
Even those who have never heard of Cyberpunk are jumping on board all because of the badass actor.
The actor also unveiled a release date: April 16, 2020. It will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Reeves is the current king of Hollywood having released John Wick: Chapter 3 and Netflix rom-com Always Be My Maybe, with Toy Story and Bill & Ted to come.
Let's hope there's a lot more to come.
