The Smartphone With A Three-Day Battery That Can Also Charge Other Phones
A new smartphone has a battery that will feasibly last up to three days -- and it's hitting the Australian market soon.
Huawei unveiled its new Mate20 Series in London, with the bold claim that it's one of the most powerful smartphones in the world.
Luckily for every user on the planet, that power doesn't come with a battery life trade-off.
The phone has the largest battery in its class: a 4000mAh for the Mate20, and a 4200mAh battery for the Mate20 Pro.
A Huawei spokesperson confirmed to ten daily that the Pro lasts for approximately 378 hours on standby (that's quite literally more than two weeks), and there's an understanding that it could last up to three days.

Huawei also debuted a new version of charging, whereby your handset can charge another phone by holding them back-to-back. It's the world's first example of reverse wireless charging, which means that three-day battery life can be shared with your mates -- provided their handset supports wireless charging, of course.
But the most exciting feature for users is the triple lens camera and dual AI processor, which translates into photos of a quality that Huawei said is comparable to "professional shots taken with an SLR camera".
Here's a list of what the camera can do: identify landmarks, tell you how many kilojoules are in a piece of fruit, take underwater photos and videos, snap a precise macro close-up or an ultra-wide angle shot, take an extremely decent night time shot, and -- perhaps most importantly -- differentiate between you and the differently lit scenery behind you.
If you're down to get into the nitty gritty, other key features of the Huawei’s Mate20 series include a Kirin 980 processor, a 6.39-inch QHD+ OLED (538ppi) screen, up to 256GB of memory, dual-sim capability, a 3D IR face scanning system that recognises your face the instant you look at it, and a weight of just 189g.
It can also charge to about 70 percent of the battery in 30 minutes, which isn't bad.
The Huawei Mate20 and Mate20Pro is available for pre-order up until 31st October, with a pre-order offer of a bonus free Huawei wireless charger valued at $149.
