Telstra Hit By "Intermittent" Service Issues
Some customers had issues making phone calls and using their mobile data.
Some customers using the Telstra network have experienced issues making phones calls or using mobile data across the country's major cities.
Telstra confimed that a small number of people on third part networks -- such as ALDI and Woolworths mobile -- were affected by "intermittent service" service on Monday and Tuesday.
Telstra has dismissed earlier claims that there was an issue with its wider 3G and 4G network.
"There was a vendor platform issue that impacted mobile virtual network operating services for a small number of wholesale customers," Telstra said in a statement.
"The majority of those services have already been restored. We apologise to these wholesale customers for any inconvenience."
Telstra said the majority of the services have now been restored.
Customers have taken to social media to voice their outrage, with network-monitoring website aussieoutages.com reporting users experiencing problems since early this morning.
It comes a month after Telstra's 3G and 4G mobile networks collapsed, affecting businesses and major banks. Telstra later blamed a hardware fault within the core of the 4G mobile network for the outage.
