India 2/215 At Stumps After Mitchell Marsh Booing Controversy
India is on top after day one of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.
The visitors finished on 2/215 with skipper Virat Kohli not out on 47 and the rock of their batting this series -- Cheteshwar Pujara -- not out on 68 off 200 balls.
Pat Cummins got both wickets for Australia.
India won the toss this morning and elected to bat on a very grassy MCG pitch. That looked like a very bold move at the time, but the pitch didn't really provide as much as it promised for the Australian pacemen.
Kohli's move has proved to be a good one. And India, to their credit, has batted well.
