Unbelievably Brilliant Pat Cummins Run Out Wins Day For Australia
Australia has definitely won the first day of the first Test against India in Adelaide.
The visitors won the toss and batted, and were entitled to post a huge score on a scorching Adelaide day and a batter-friendly wicket.
But Australia's bowling quartet each chipped in with two wickets, and a fantastic run out off the last ball of the day by Pat Cummins ensured that Australia restricted the visitors to 9-250.
For India, the hero was Cheteshwar Pujara, who made 123. He was the only batsman who applied himself all day, while most of the others -- Virat Kohli included -- fell to needlessly aggressive strokes.
Only the brilliance of Pat Cummins in the field could end a magnificent innings. We're still wondering how he did that.
