CRUNCH! Aussie Pile-Drives Opponent In Bone-Shattering NFL Tackle

Sorry mate, but THIS is how we tackle in Australia.

As far as we know, those are not the actual words which came from the mouth of Aussie punter Mitch Wishnowsky, but they might as well have been.

Wishnowsky, 27, a former glazier from Western Australia who had to give up his AFL dreams in his late teens due to a shoulder injury, has still got himself one heck of a kick.

That's why the San Francisco 49ers drafted him as an NFL punter earlier this year.

But NFL punters don't just punt. They've got to follow up their kicks and tackle on occasion too. And oh boy, did Wishnowsky do just that in a pre-season game against the Denver Broncos in Denver.

They call Denver the "mile-high city". Well, the Aussie just buried rookie Broncos running back Devontae Jackson about a mile underground with this pile-driver.

Video still from a San Francisco 49ers video.

OOF!

For the record, the 49ers won the game 24-15 -- which is a promising sign for the team that won just four games last season.

And in other news, Americans rather amusingly still think Australians drink Foster's.
