Nick Kyrgios Hurls Water Bottle And Misses Ump By THIS Much
It's been at least a couple of weeks since Nick Kyrgios was in the headlines.
But never fear. You rarely have to wait too long for the next Nick Kyrgios weirdness/blow-up/controversy/amusing moment.
And in today's 6-2 7-5 victory over Japan’s world number 77-ranked Yoshihito Nishioka in the Washington Open, Kyrgios gave us all of the above.
There was the ball-header, which was actually pretty impressive and would have done Tim Cahill proud.
There was the moment he faked an underarm serve, which actually had his opponent laughing.
There was the trademark 'tweener, which the 24-year-old played with pure nonchalance before calmly hitting a backhand crosscourt winner.
And there was the angry moment when he pegged his bottle at the ump's chair. Ouch. Won't someone think of the poor chairs?
In all seriousness, it was better than accidentally hitting the ump. Can you imagine the trouble if that had happened? Phew.
