Vladimir Putin Just Stacked It On An Ice Rink During A Lap Of Honour
Russian President Vladimir Putin was left red-faced after he fell over in front of a packed ice rink on Friday.
Before his tumble, Putin gave a man of the match-worthy performance during an exhibition ice hockey game at Sochi's Bolshoy Ice Dome.
Putin joined the Hockey Legends team against the Night Hockey League team, in an event that has become an annual tradition in Russia.
Hall of Famers such as Vyacheslav Fetisov and Pavel Bure and the Kremlin's Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu joined Putin on his team for the widely-advertised and televised match.
Putin played in his favoured number 11 shirt, and was met with very little resistance while attacking in a forward position.
It was widely reported that the President scored eight goals, but an official release from the Kremlin said he scored nine.
Putin's impressive total sealed a 14-7 win for the Hockey Legends.

After the match, Putin and his teammates were doing a lap of honour, when the President skated into a red carpet on the ice.
As soon as he hit the carpet, he stumbled before falling face first.
To his credit, Putin got straight back on his feet (or skates) and continued with his teammates, although he did look slightly less enthusiastic than before.
