Conor McGregor Arrested In Miami For 'Criminal Mischief'
Full-time controversy machine and occasional UFC fighter Conor McGregor has been arrested outside his Miami Beach hotel, US media report.
According to The Miami Herald, the 30-year-old Irish fighter smashed a fan's phone outside the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel.
Miami Beach police said McGregor was charged with felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanour criminal mischief.
The arrest report said that McGregor and the fan were walking out of the resort in the early hours of the morning. When the fan tried taking a photo with his phone, McGregor “slapped” it out of his hand, then stomped on it several times.
McGregor has been on holiday in Florida ahead of his return to the Octagon. Last week he celebrated his mum's 60th birthday at the Versace Mansion in Miami Beach.
He posted this image on Instagram on Sunday night, not long before his arrest.
McGregor's last fight was his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas on October 6 last year. You can see a full list of his UFC fights and results here.
