Every year, the A-League attracts more and more foreign imports. Here's everything you need to know about this year's crop.

Best bits: Talented midfielder who's played most of his career at Eintracht Braunschweig and was key to them getting promoted to the Bundesliga in 2013/14.
The Last Word: He's known for a spectacular goal from his time in the Bundesliga, and has already added to his account with a bicycle kick against the Central Coast Mariners. Should be a fan favourite.
Ken Ilso Nationality: Denmark. Age: 31. Position, Striker:
Best Bits: The Danish striker's most prolific season came in Malaysia where he scored 20 goals and put on eight assists in just 25 appearances for Kedah in the 2015/16 season.

Ross McCormack Nationality: Scotland. Age: 32. Position: Striker
Best Bits: His best years were in the English Football League Championship, where he scored 120 goals at clubs like Fulham and Aston Villa.
The Last Word: Along with Aussie import Tommy Oar, he'll help push Central Coast off the bottom of the ladder. If he can score goals at the same rate he did for Melbourne City last season, might get them to the finals.
Kalifa Cisse Nationality: Mali. Age: 34. Position: Centre Back
Best Bits: Cisse carved out a respectable career with Boavista in Portugal and Reading. Has since moved between the US, England and Thailand.
The Last Word: Experienced, but we're not sure what else.
Michael O'Halloran Nationality: Scotland. Age: 27. Position: Right winger

Best Bits: Scored against Germany at the World Cup, and also scored a frankly outrageous goal from in his own half against France in the qualifiers which is much better with the Titanic music.
The last word: The big Swede will provide brawn and intelligence up front. Expect him and Honda to link up well, particularly from set pieces.
Kaine Sheppard Nationality: England. Age: 24. Position: Striker

Jop Van Der Linden Nationality: Netherlands. Age: 28. Position: Centre Back
Best Bits: Van Der Linden is a bit of a rarity for Europeans coming to the A-League at an age under 30. Has 95 Eredivisie appearances.
The Last Word: As with Melbourne Victory's Georg Niedermeir he's played for a long time in one of Europe's toughest leagues. Good get, who'll be a threat in the box.

Best Bits: Six major trophies in Holland at clubs like Ajax and PSV Eindhoven as well as being a Dutch international.
