Collingwood Cheer Squad Burst Into Tears As Banner Rips
Coach Buckley was on hand to save the day.
It's supposed to be a childhood dream of an AFL player's career, running through the banner on the hallowed turf of the MCG on Grand Final Day.
But for the Collingwood Magpies, things didn't quite go to plan.

For a few magical seconds the banner stood proudly, until a gust of wind saw it torn to shreds -- just like the hearts of the devastated cheer squad who watched on helplessly.
The audible gasp around the ground summed up the moment, as the team ran on to the field looking rather bemused at their banner-less entrance.
Despite it being one of the biggest days in his coaching career, Magpies coach Nathan Buckley was on hand to console the heartbroken cheer squad.
Noticing a 'Pies fan sobbing at the tattered mess of the banner, Buckley stopped by to offer her words of encouragement and a hug.
For those who missed the blink-and-you'll-miss-it banner, it read "We're side by side, through thick and thin. That's why we're here, that's why we'll win".
