Barnaby Joyce Talks God And Climate Change In Christmas Video
Federal MP Barnaby Joyce has posted a video on social media, declaring he is sick of the government and that respecting God is the answer to climate change.
The former deputy prime minister is seen in the 48-second clip, which was posted on Christmas Eve, feeding cattle.
"You probably to wonder what politicians do on Christmas Eve, well when it's drought, feed cattle," Joyce says.
This tweet is unavailable or no longer exists.
He also says he believes in climate change but that a tax on emissions isn't the way to go.
"Now you don't have to convince me the climate is not changing, it is changing," Joyce says in the video.
"My problem has always been whether you believe new taxes are going to change it back.
"I just don't want the government anymore in my life, I am sick of the government being in my life."
He also suggests that unless we respect God "we're going to get nailed" by climate change.
"There's a higher authority that is beyond our comprehension, right up there in the sky," he said.
"Unless we understand that that's got to be respected, then we are just fools and we're going to get nailed."
Almost 2,000 people have commented on the member for New England's video, less than 12 hours after it was shared for Christmas Eve.
