Here's How To Keep Across The Election This Saturday On 10

As five weeks of campaigning finally come to an end, the countdown to election night is well and truly on -- and we'll bring you all the sizzle.

This Saturday, May 18, Network 10 will have around-the-clock multi-platform coverage of the federal election from when the polls first open right down to the final announcement on who will be Australia's next Prime Minister.

A stellar lineup will join 10's very own Sandra Sully, Chris Bath and Hamish Macdonald at the desk, including Political Editor Peter van Onselen, Waleed Aly and National Affairs Editor Hugh Riminton -- plus some political firepower from Christopher Pyne, Kristina Keneally, Sam Dastyari and Trent Zimmerman.

10 daily will kick off the day's coverage with our Live Election blog early Saturday morning, keeping you across the latest from the polling stations and the best democracy barbies, with updates from our 10 News First reporters across the country.

Before the final number crunching begins, the pre-election sizzle starts with the Studio 10 Aussie Poll Party, kicking off on Network 10 at 3pm.

Hosts Sarah Harris, Joe Hildebrand and Angela Bishop will throw a snag on the barbie as they check in with how Aussies are voting across the nation.

The team will be joined by some familiar faces such as Missy Higgins and San Cisco take the stage alongside John Williamson -- who is no stranger to politics -- for special performances to help the country's struggling farmers.

After her short-lived stint in the jungle on 10's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here, Jacquie Lambie will reunite with King of the Jungle Richard Reid in Tassie, while former campmate Yvie Jones is also set to make a special appearance.

As the polls close and the numbers start rolling in, 10 News First Your Vote will commence from 5pm until late into the evening.

Hosted by a power panel including Sandra Sully, Hamish Macdonald and Chris Bath, the special coverage will draw on insights and exclusive predictions from Waleed Aly and Peter van Onselen, plus political firepower from Christopher Pyne, Kristina Keneally, Sam Dastyari and Trent Zimmerman.
