Every Senator Who Voted For Pauline Hanson's 'It's Okay To Be White' Motion
Pauline Hanson's motion that it's "okay to be white" was narrowly voted down in the Senate on Tuesday night, which has once again put Australia in the global spotlight for being racist.
The motion was only narrowly defeated 28-31, and was voted against by Labor, the Greens, the Nick Xenophon Team and Derryn Hinch.
Hinch tweeted on Wednesday morning that he was "genuinely shocked" to see Senators file into the room and sit with Hanson, and that it "should have been a 50+ to five whitewash" -- no pun intended.
Sky News reports that the whole vote was a confusing "debacle" followed by a "what the hell just happened moment".
The point is: they voted for it. So here's who they are.
