Sydney Mums Brawl After Online Chat About Coronavirus Turns Ugly
An online argument between two women in a Sydney mothers' group has ended with both in hospital after a brawl.
Northern Beaches police said the women, both aged in their 30s, were involved in an argument on an online group chat about coronavirus and its effects.
The pair agreed "to resolve their differences in person", Northern Beaches Police Area Command wrote in a statement on Facebook.
Police claimed the verbal argument escalated despite bystanders trying to intervene, with the "women pushing, slapping, pulling hair before they both fell to the ground and were briefly unconscious".
Both women required treatment at hospital.
It's understood that one of the women was taken for scans for a possible brain injury.
The other was treated for a shoulder injury and for cuts, bruises and swelling to her arms, upper body and neck.
A Personal Violence Order was taken out by police for one woman against the other.
