'Sickening': Man Charged Over Allegedly Importing 'Child-Like' Sex Doll

A man has been charged following an investigation into a child-like sex doll in NSW.

The child sex doll was intercepted by Australian Border Force officers from air cargo in Sydney in November, police said.

According to police, the imported child sex doll is legally considered to be "child exploitation" material.

A 59-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after police officers searched a home in Wagga Wagga last month.

Police allege they found child abuse material on the man's computer during the investigation.

“All child-like sex dolls and child abuse material detected at the border is automatically seized by the ABF, because this sickening material has no place in Australia,” Acting Australian Border Force Regional Commander Garry Low said.

“Child-like sex dolls and digital material are symptomatic of the broader global threat posed by child sexual abuse."

The man was granted strict conditional bail and is due to face Wagga Wagga Local Court next month.

It comes just days after a separate investigation in South Australia saw a man charged for allegedly importing a 'child-like' sex doll from a seller in China.
