Body Of Newborn Baby Discovered, And Human Leg Washes Ashore
The body of a newborn child was discovered on a rural property near Coffs Harbour on the NSW mid-north coast.
Police were called to a home on Holloways Road, Sandy Beach just after midday on Tuesday.
They discovered the tiny corpse inside the home.
A post-mortem is currently being carried out to determine the child's age and cause of death.
Just hours after the newborn's body was discovered, a human leg washed up on North Beach at Mylestom. A member of the public discovered the limb, which had a wet suit bootie still attached to it.
Police will address the media regarding the discovery of the child's body and the human leg later on Wednesday.
More to come.
