Woman's Body Found In Car Boot, Man Arrested

Police have launched a homocide investigation after a woman's body was found in the boot of a car at a Queensland home.

The body of the 31-year-old woman was found in the car at about 5.20 on Tuesday afternoon on McGill Street  in Raceview near Ipswich.

Police set up a crime scene and arrested a 36-year-old man at the same address where the boy was found. He is currently assisting police with their inquires. No charges have been laid.

The man and the woman were known to each other.

McGill Street resident Margaret Anne told 10 News First she was shocked that something so "sad" occurred  in her street.

"I am scared," she said.

"There were police everywhere. They came over to talk to me."
