Boys Aged 12 And 15 Charged After Crashing Into Police 4WD
A stolen Jeep smashed into a police car in a late-night chase that saw two boys -- one aged just 12 -- charged.
Queensland Police have charged the two boys, after they allegedly stole a car and led police on a pursuit through the Gold Coast on Saturday night.
PoIice said a white Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from a home at Mermaid Waters on Friday. Just before midnight on Saturday night, the vehicle was seen driving "erratically" in nearby Burleigh Waters.
"Police activated lights and sirens and attempted to intercept the Jeep, however it failed to stop," QLD Police said.
Tyre spikes were deployed as the Jeep drove along the Pacific Highway, with helicopters tracking the car.
"Officers pursued the stung vehicle until it eventually collided with a police car at Tugun, coming to a stop," police said.

There were no injuries in the crash, and the boys were taken into custody before being later charged.
The 15-year-old, from Bray Park, has been hit with 11 charges including two counts of enter dwelling with intent, receiving tainted property, possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of evade, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, fraud, driving unlicensed and possession of a drug utensil.
The 12-year-old, from Red Hill, was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
