Woman Charged With Manslaughter Of Daughter And Friend
A 52-year-old woman has been charged after the deaths of two women, including her daughter.
Police say an altercation between two women, reportedly Kazzandra Widders, 20 and Skye Luland, 24, occurred in the Nambucca Plaza shopping centre car park in Nambucca Heads on the NSW mid-north coast at 11.30pm on Saturday evening.
A short time later the 52-year-old woman, who was the mother Luland, arrived in a car and allegedly ran the vehicle into the women, who became trapped under the vehicle.
The driver allegedly fled the scene after the incident, while members of the public and emergency services tried to aid the two victims.
The 24-year-old woman from Bellingen and a 20-year-old from Macksville died at the scene.
The 52-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday. She was treated in hospital and was later charged with manslaughter, dangerous driving causing death and failing to stop and render assistance.
She will appear in Kempsey court on Monday.
