Family Attacked With Machete In Terrifying Home Invasion

Three invaders have attacked a family in their home, ransacking the house and leaving a man with serious head and neck injuries.

The family, from the western NSW city of Broken Hill, was attacked by three men wielding a machete and wooden club who forced their way into their home.

Police say the intruders entered the Gypsum St property on Sunday night and assaulted a woman who was home alone with her young children.

"The trio proceeded to ransack the house until the male occupant of the home arrived," police said on Monday.
