Greedy Low Act After Danielle Easey's Murder
Danielle Easey's body was found wrapped in plastic in a creek near Newcastle, NSW, in August.
On Thursday, police charged Justin Dilosa, 33, with the murder of Easey after he was arrested at a factory in Cardiff.
A second person, Carol Dawson, Dilosa's former partner, was also arrested at a separate address, accused of impersonating Easey for money.
It is alleged Dawson, 32, had used one of Easey's social media accounts to "gain access to money", police said on Friday.
Dawson has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder and dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
It is believed the pair and Easey had been associated for "a number of years", Detective Acting Superintendent Jason Dickinson told reporters on Thursday.
Easey, who was known to police, lived in Booragul in Lake Macquarie but more recently was couch surfing at homes in the area.
Police said she had recently become involved in the drug scene and her family last had contact with her several weeks before the discovery of her body.
An autopsy revealed Easey had been "seriously assaulted and stabbed" on or around August 17, before being dumped at Cockle Creek.
Police believe she was killed at home, but her remains were not disposed of for nearly two weeks. Easey was found wrapped in plastic on August 31.
Dilosa is due to appear in the Belmont Local Court on Friday while Dawson is expected to face the Toronto Local Court, also on Friday.
