Captain America, Kind Of, Robbed A Store At Gunpoint
You know what they say -- you either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Or in this case, shop employees were both confused and afraid when an apparent hero allegedly became the villain.
A man dressed in a superhero get-up allegedly held up a store on the NSW south coast on Thursday.
Shortly after 7:30 pm the man -- dressed in what appears to be a Captain America onesie and with his face covered -- attended a commercial premises in Batehaven where he produced a firearm before demanding cash from two male employees.
"The alleged offender then demanded the two employees leave the store, before taking an amount of cash and fleeing on foot along Corrigan Crescent," NSW Police said in a statement.
The assailant is described as 155-180cm tall and, most notably, wearing a Captain America costume at the time of the offence.
