Teenager Allegedly Touched By Man Who Then Impersonated Police Officer

A 16-year-old girl has managed to escape after she was allegedly grabbed and sexually touched by a man in Sydney's south-west.

Police allege a 66-year-old man grabbed the teenager as she was walking on Chapel Street at Roselands just before 3:30pm on Monday, but she managed to run away.

It's then alleged the man approached a group of school students nearby and impersonated a police officer.

Police were alerted to the incident at the time and shortly after arrested the man nearby.

The 66-year-old is due to face court on Tuesday charged with sexually touching a person without consent and impersonating a police officer.
