Police Hunt Driver Who Allegedly Offered Boy A 'Lift' Outside His School

Police are hunting a man after reports he approached a child.

Police believe the 11-year-old boy was walking to school at about 8.20am on Thursday when a small, grey-coloured, four-door hatchback pulled up next to him.

The car slowed down next to the child at the intersection of Fig Tree Avenue on Abbotsford Cove Drive in Sydney NSW and the driver of the car allegedly asked the boy if he wanted a lift.

The boy declined and fled from the scene. He ran towards his school while the driver made a U-turn and drove away.
