Mustachioed Man In Beret Wanted Over $7,500 Worth Of Train Vandalism

Have you seen a man with a moustache and wavy black hair, who was wearing a white coat and blue beret sometime last September?

Then good news, Victoria Police would like to speak to him.

The Transit Safety Division released CCTV footage and images of two men wanted in relation to an act of "large-scale vandalism" to a train last year, which caused about $7,500 worth of damage.

"The train was temporarily stopped between Mordialloc and Aspendale railway stations between 4 pm and 5 pm on 11 September 2018 when two men climbed a fence adjacent to the railway line," Victoria Police said.

"The men proceeded to graffiti the train with spray paint, causing extensive damage, before climbing back over the fence and fleeing on foot."

Police have released images of two men they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first man is the one with the moustache. He's described as about 25-30 years old, of a medium build, who was wearing a white overcoat, blue trackies, and a beret.

The second is believed to also be about 25-30 years old, of a Caucasian appearance, a medium build, and with shoulder-length dark curly hair. He was wearing a high-vis orange and blue shirt, light blue jeans, and a bucket hat.
