Police Search For Fake Cops Who Robbed Store

Two men are on the run after impersonating policemen and storming a currency exchange store in Sydney's north-west.

The duo entered the store on the first floor of a building on Rowe Street, Eastwood, at about 1.20pm Wednesday, March 20, telling a staff member and a customer that they were police officers.

NSW police said the men, dressed in a dark suit with sunglasses, gloves and carrying what are believed to be handcuffs, forced the customer to the ground before jumping over the store counter and emptying out the safe.

They took the pair's wallets before fleeing the scene.

Nobody was injured.
