Woman Allegedly Held Hostage For Days, Repeatedly Raped By Man She Met On A Dating App

A woman was allegedly held hostage for four days by a man she met on a dating app.

Robert Wilson, 32, from Darley, northwest of Melbourne, Victoria, allegedly imprisoned a 39-year-old woman between March 25 and March 29.

He is also accused of repeatedly raping the woman and stealing about $3000 from her.

The Age reports the pair met on dating app 'Baboo' and dated for about two months. Police allege the man picked up the woman from her workplace in Ivanhoe on March 25 and drove her to his house on Grey Street, Darley.

Whey they arrived he allegedly assaulted her and wouldn't let her leave the property. She was allegedly held for four days, where she was repeatedly raped, threatened with a crossbow and other weapons, and had money stolen from her.

The ordeal ended when the woman's friends contacted Wilson to ask about her whereabouts. Police allege the man then released her and the incident was reported to police shortly after.
