Man Buys Kebab From Van Then Tries To Rob The Place With A Gun, Police Claim

A man allegedly tried to rob a kebab van after buying some food from it not long before, but was chased away by the van's vendor.

Victoria Police are investigating after a man allegedly pulled out a revolver and tried to hold up a kebab van in Melbourne's north in the early hours of Saturday March 9.

"Investigators have been told a man approached the van around 12.07 am after purchasing a kebab earlier in the night," police said.

"It’s alleged the man threatened the victim with a revolver and demanded cash from the till."
