Man Caught Driving With Feet On Dashboard So He Could Take A Photo

Police have been left "frustrated and appalled" by drivers this weekend, with one man caught speeding with his feet up on the dashboard and appearing to steer the car with his knees.

Officers responded to a report of a man driving with both feet on the dash in Longwood East, in rural Victoria, at about 6.20pm on Friday.

They located the car an hour later on Glenrowan-Myrtleford Road in Laceby, where the man was allegedly also travelling over the speed limit.

The driver later admitted he did it to take a photo, police said, and he was issued with a $242 fine for failing to have proper control and $322 for speeding.

Police said the weekend was also filled with other examples of "reckless behaviour" on Victorian roads.

On Friday, a motorcyclist overtook an unmarked police vehicle on the Melba Highway travelling 165km/h in a 100km/h zone.
