At Least Three Women Followed, One Attacked, Outside Sydney Train Station

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with enquiries.

Police are investigating what appears to be a stalker preying on a number of women in Sydney's south-west.

The same man has been caught on CCTV following a number of woman on at least three different dates last December, always at or near Belmore train station.

A 31-year-old was grabbed from behind as she walked along nearby Leylands Parade early on a Monday morning.

The attacker covered her mouth and dragged her towards a unit complex before she managed to escape and call for help.

Two days earlier, about 11pm on Saturday night, she'd noticed a man following her closely as she left the station, and ran away.

When police investigated, they found that the same man had followed a "number of women" on at least two different dates.

Chillingly, he'd followed a different woman shortly before attacking the 31-year-old.

The incidences took place on Saturday 8 December, Monday 10 December and Saturday 22 December last year, but the man has not been at the station since.

On one of the dates, he's wearing long white shorts and a black t-shift, carrying what appears to be a sports bag.

In another, the man is wearing a black t-shirt with a Pepsi Max logo on the back.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
