Prison Time 'Likely' For Elderly Man Who Shot At Sex Worker
An elderly man who fired two shots at a sex worker, who he believed he was in a relationship with, will likely serve jail time.
Domenico Natale, 89, fired the shots at the woman outside Brunswick's Romantics Brothel in Melbourne in July 2017 after she asked him to stop stalking her.
He was a regular visitor to the woman and out of what she believed was kindness towards a lonely old man, she began to visit him at home, though not providing services.
He shot himself in the stomach during his arrest but survived and was charged with attempted murder.
Justice Lesley Taylor warned Natale in December that prison is "looking like a likely option".
He will be sentenced in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
