A Woman Tried To Snatch A Baby's Pram From A Mother On The Street

Police are on the hunt for a woman who allegedly tried to grab a pram carrying a baby on a street in Victoria on Monday.

A woman was walking west along Shakespeare Street in Traralgon with her two children who were both in a pram, police said.

Just after 2pm, police allege a female stranger tried to pull the pram out of the mother's hands.

Shocked and distressed, the mother hit the woman in the face, causing her to flee east along the street.

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released a facefit image of the woman they are searching for, who is described as about 165cm tall, of a medium build with long blonde hair.

She was wearing denim shorts, a white t-shirt and sneakers.

Both the mother and her children were uninjured during the incident.
