Man Charged After Allegedly Punching Passengers On Buses

Police have charged a man who allegedly attacked commuters on Brisbane buses on two separate occasions. 

CCTV released by Queensland Police on Tuesday, shows a man in a red shirt punching one passenger in the face as he sat on a bus, before attacking another person as he was stepping off.

Officers conducting routine patrols later took a 39-year-old Aspley man into custody in Windsor about 2.30pm.

It will be alleged he first assaulted a 40-year-old man on December 9 before assaulting an 18-year-old female on a bus on South Pine Road at Everton Park three days later.

The man is due to appear in court on February 4 on two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

Investigators are continuing to appeal for anyone who have been a victim of random or unprovoked assaults by a man in Brisbane to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
