Man Charged After Allegedly Soliciting Sexually Explicit Videos From Teenager

A Sydney man is facing up to 15 years in prison after allegedly soliciting child pornography from a 15-year-old girl.

The 25-year-old Quakers Hill man was arrested at Sydney airport Tuesday morning as he returned from a holiday in the United States.

It follows an extensive multi-jurisdictional investigation which included Strike Force Trawler detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crime Squad's Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU), Australian Federal Police, and Australian Border Force.

Detectives allege he had been engaging in sexually explicit conversations with the teenager across a range of social media and messaging apps.

Those conversations allegedly include requesting and receiving sexually explicit videos and images deemed to be child exploitation material.

The man was met at Sydney airport by Strike Force Trawler detectives and walked through the building in handcuffs, with one detective carrying a clear plastic bag containing some of his alleged belongings.
