Accused Dance School Rapist Hit With Nearly 90 Fresh Charges

Anthony Sampieri -- the man accused of attacking a seven-year-old girl in a toilet -- allegedly made 87 threatening calls to several women in the months before the dance school rape.

Sampieri’s fresh charges were briefly mentioned at Sutherland Local Court this afternoon, where the case was adjourned until next week.

Court documents show the 55-year-old made almost 90 threatening and inappropriate phone calls to women over a 3-month period, starting August 13.

Some days Sampieri allegedly made more than a dozen calls to women. He’s charged with making 15 calls on September 25, a dozen the day before and a few hours before he allegedly attacked the young girl, police say he made 3 calls.

Samperi has been in jail ever since the November 15 attack, which left the girl injured and a man who tried to help stabbed.

He’s been in Silverwater jail ever since. Police refused Anthony Sampieri bail on these charges too because of his extensive criminal history and risk to the community. They say his alleged victims are terrified he’ll call them again.

He’ll be back in court next week.
